About JFMA
JFMA Overview
Japan Floral Marketing Association (JFMA) was initially established as a nonprofit organization in May 18, 2000. It underwent reorganization to become a limited liability intermediate corporation in January 2006. JFMA is open to all corporate and individual growers, traders, and retailers of flowers. As of September 2006, the association has 240 members from across the floral industry, including growers, seed and seedling companies, market wholesalers, intermediate wholesalers, mass merchandise retailers, florists and gardening specialty stores.
Objectives of JFMA
The mission of JFMA is to “boost floral consumption in Japan.” To achieve this goal, we intend to “explore all possible ways for more people to enjoy flowers” through growers, traders, and retailers while retaining a collaboration. JFMA aims to make high quality floral and greenery products available to consumers at reasonable prices by offering educational and training programs, serving as a forum for problem resolutions, and providing networking opportunities to our members.
~Who will benefit~
JFMA plans to develop and promote marketing skills needed for the efficient distribution and marketing of floral and greenery products to general consumers with consistent quality at affordable prices.
~Approaches~
JFMA intends to apply scientific approaches to investigate, analyze, test, and verify ways that may contribute to increasing floral sales and promoting floral demand.
